Audio Decode
This page sets out the technical side of what we do, in plain English.
We listen. If we can help, we take a deposit. We improve your audio. You pay the balance. We send you the results.
An E.G. Systems company.
Step 1:
You send us the audio. We prefer you to send a copy if possible, but sometimes it has to be the original. If you are sending the original, you MUST use a tracked recorded delivery service. Please note: We cannot take responsibility for any losses incurred in transit. You may wish to consider bringing audio to us in person if something important is resting on the outcome!
Step 2:
We check with you to make sure we have received everything you sent to us. We then analyse the audio we have received, and let you know if we can help. If we can help, we go to step 3, if not we delete your data, or return your original audio to you via recorded delivery, which you pay for, at cost.
Step 3:
We take a deposit of 50% and then start work. We use various professional tools to reduce problems and/or artefacts in your audio recording(s) to improve the possibility of hearing what is going on.
Step 4:
When we have done all we can to improve your audio, we contact you and you pay the balance for completing the work. We then send you the final result as an audio file, usually a 44.1 Khz / 16bit WAV file, but we can supply some other formats as well. We also email you information to document what we did, and that it has not removed or added anything legally pertinent to the audio (this is so you can use it in court if you are required to do so).
Charges:
For working on yoru audio, we charge a fixed fee of £50.00 to cover setup costs, and then £50.00 per hour of audio that we are working on. The minimum charge, no matter what the length of audio, is £65.
As an example, if you send us 2 hours of audio to improve/recover, we would charge £150.00
